     Top Cybersecurity Companies

 Cybersecurity is a very important thing to have these days while advancements in technology and the  Internet of things arise. Computer security, cybersecurity or information technology security is the protection of computer systems and networks from information disclosure, theft of or damage to their hardware, software, or electronic data, as well as from the disruption or misdirection of the services they provide (Computer Security Wiki). As we dig deeper in more fascinating discoveries of the future, hackers and other threats fight to expose leading innovations or just hack systems for multiple information on someone. You never know how real cyber attacks can be until you are faced with one. Some people hack just to get in your social media accounts and play around. Others collect data such as your credit or debit card info, addresses and much more. More and more websites that operate online such as shopping sites and food ordering apps have things in motion to where your information is sealed. 

    Cyber attack doesn't have to be getting your information leaked or hacked, it also includes your devices carrying a virus. Once your computer or phone gets a virus, it is pretty hard to bounce back from it. Your computer or phone will never work the same again. In some cases, each person's software differentiates from how they can take a virus. Some mild to moderate. Thinking in terms of having any source of device that uses the Internet, you will encounter some sort of hack or cyberattack that occurs. More often than one, it occurs in a subtle way. I encounter a subtle hack when a peculiar link pops up on Twitter asking me how many followers I gain or lose. Now me being a curious cat I click the link to see and I had to enter the usual username and password. Then boom I was hacked for basically an hour or so. When I finally got my account back, I had to administrate an apology to my followers that received the same link and not to click because it was a trap. I learned my lesson from then on and changed secure my account again by changing my password. 

    Anytime dealing with things publically over the Internet, you will always know  what to secure sensitive information you may use such as debit or credit information, passwords, and addresses to ensure they don't get leaked. If any of your information gets hacked or leaked could be damaging to your identity. It is always important to have cybersecurity so your devices can be protected from cyber attacks or threats and also hacking. If your devices do not have cybersecurity, there is nothing stopping cyber attacks from happening. Cyber attacks happen everyday and all the time. Cyber attacks or threats are jobs to hackers. They feel they have a task to be done and execute precisely. When discussing cybersecurity, it falls in three categories and what areas it protects. 

    The three categories are IT security, computer security, and cyber security. All these types of security help each other achieve the same goal which is to eliminate cyber attacks and threats. Now will discuss the top 5 cybersecurity companies. Starting in with number 5 is SecureWorks. 

    SecureWorks' cybersecurity falls under threat detection and management.  The company has approximately 4,000 customers in more than 50 countries, ranging from Fortune 100 companies to mid-sized businesses in a variety of industries (Secureworks Wiki). Founded in 1999, SecureWorks was acquired by Dell Technologies in 2011. SecureWorks offers network, IT, and managed security solutions focusing on information security services. The company’s security information and event management platform uses applied security research and leverages GIAC-certified experts to protect companies. Its services also utilize automation and AI, actionable insights, analysts, and visibility from thousands of clients to create a powerful network effect to predict and combat cyberattacks (Software Report). SecureWorks deals with IT security which includes securing data through a network. Coming in at number 4 that leads in the top cybersecurity companies is CrowdStrike. Even though CrowdStrike is a more influential cybersecurity company it stills stays at number 4 on the list because most people have not heard of it. CrowdStrike provides services in the U.S. but also across Europe and India. CrowdStrike's purpose and motto is stop breaches. The company provides security services to 12 of the 20 Fortune largest global companies, ten of the 20 largest financial institutions, and five of the top ten largest healthcare providers. It's also a leading cybersecurity provider for the energy market. CrowdStrike is known for being the first cloud-native endpoint security platform on the market (Software Report). 

    Now these last 3 cybersecurity companies are at the top list because they provide the utmost best services and are well-known. I'm sure everyone has heard of these 3 cybersecurity companies once in their life. LexisNexis Risk Solutions is the third leading cybersecurity company. If you guess from their name, they deal with risk management in cybersecurity.  Its risk solutions give customers decision tools that combine public and industry content with analytics that help evaluate and predict risk. LexisNexis Risk Solutions combines physical and digital identities, including behavioral, biometric, device, and credit-seeking insights to bring a holistic view of the consumer and the identity world (Software Report). Palo Alto Networks peaks at number 2 in leading cybersecurity companies. Palo Alto Networks is similar to SecureWorks because they both deal with threat protection and management. Palo Alto Networks is headquartered in California whereas SecureWorks in Georgia. The way Palo Alto Networks use their security is running routine scans provides analytics that detects malware. Now the number 1 leading cybersecurity company pretty much everyone should know this company. If you use or have Microsoft services, they require you use this company as protection for cybersecurity. The company is McAfee. By far one of the most well-known cybersecurity companies in the market, McAfee has been churning out cybersecurity software since its inception in 1987.  

    On the business front, McAfee’s endpoint and mobile security products protect end-user devices from attacks, while its network security products and services protect company servers, databases, and data centers. For home users, McAfee provides security software to protect mobile devices and personal computers (Software Report). I can see without doubt McAfee deserves to be number 1 because they provide excellent services when it comes to cybersecurity. With myself having a laptop that operates with Microsoft, my computer automatically installs McAfee and I have no problems with cyber attacks thanks to McAfee. In conclusion, it is better to be safe than sorry when it comes to devices dealing with cyber attacks. Picking any of these 5 cybersecurity software, you will be in good hands and your devices will be protected efficiently.
